About Leavingcert Lecture Days

Mission Statement

Our aim is to reinforce and add to the work of the classroom teacher. We seek to help students achieve their full potential, sharpen their understanding of exam tasks and we encourage independent learning.

We supplement our lectures with model answers and solutions on our Lecture and Revision Books.

We provide our students with the best teaching and the best study notes to enable them to get excellent results in the Leaving Certificate Examinations.

What We Offer

We allocate one day to each subject, in a variety of centres. Our subject teams consist of highly experienced teachers. We provide professional registration and supervision staff where necessary.

We deliver high quality, stimulating and informative lectures. Our lectures and Exam Preparation Books range between 130 and 220 pages. The books cover the main features of the Leaving Cert Exam papers and supply detailed method notes and course content for each subject. Our unique lecture books, distributed solely at our lectures, enable targeted revision for the exams.

We try to hold our Preparation Days in a third level centre, if available, as this gives the students a foretaste of university life and stimulates them in their endeavours. For some regions, especially on a Sunday, we use high quality hotel conference facilities to provide our preparation days.

Who owns and manages Leaving Cert Lecture Days ?

Declan O'Neill is an experienced secondary teacher who served as Chief Advising Examiner in English until early 2006 and has written second level textbooks.

Philip Campion is is an experienced secondary teacher, an Advising Examiner, wrote keynotes for Skoool.ie for a number of years and has done subject and exam related broadcasts on RTE radio.

Declan O’Neill and Philip Campion have been providing final year Leaving Cert Preparation Days since 2001 in various third level venues throughout Ireland.

The lecturers in the seven other subjects have been invited to offer their own series of lectures based on the proven excellence in their fields as well as their excellent communication skills.
